If you are registered to vote & are going to be away on voting day, are housebound & unable to get a polling station, or know that you will be in hospital that day, you are entitled to vote by post.
STEP 1.Before 14th May you must collect the Solicitud para el voto por correo from the post office / correos.
STEP 2. Before 14th May, complete the form & return it in person to the post office / correos. It’s a very simple form to complete. You need to take official photo ID with you, such as your passport or driving licence. If you will be in hospital on voting day, you will need to show proof of the upcoming admission. If you need a postal vote because you are housebound, you may send a representative, & they will need to take a medical certificate for you.
STEP 3. Between 4th & 17th May, you will receive your voting form by registered post, & you will have to sign for it personally, & show ID. After two attempts at delivery, it will be returned to the post office / correos, & you will have to collect it from there.
STEP 4. Between 4th & 20th May. Send your postal vote in.
